SCRAP Creative Reuse
SCRAP Creative Reuse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.
Each summer, SCRAP offers Camp SCRAP, a creative reuse camp for children, where participants use reclaimed materials for art and craft projects; ages served may vary by program.
The center is located in Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood.
About the activity:
Put on your engineering hat and build model go-karts, mini furniture, musical instruments, marble mazes, games, and toys. This hands-on maker camp combines creativity with basic engineering principles using upcycled materials. Ideal for kids who love designing, constructing, and problem-solving.
