SCRAP Creative Reuse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.
Each summer, SCRAP offers Camp SCRAP, a creative reuse camp for children, where participants use reclaimed materials for art and craft projects; ages served may vary by program.
The center is located in Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood.
About the activity:
Design and sew your own soft stuffed friends at this 3-day fiber arts camp. Teens learn hands-on about fabric types, sewing materials, and essential tools while creating custom plushies. A creative workshop for aspiring sewists interested in toy-making and sustainable crafting.
