About the activity:

This four-day summer camp blends art and cooking to create masterpieces for both the eye and the belly! Kids ages 8-14 learn basic culinary techniques, knife skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition in a fun, hands-on way. They'll harvest fresh vegetables from Camp Cactus's organic garden beds and prepare delicious meals like nibble boards, baked goods, and stir fries. In the studio, campers design and illustrate their own recipes using printmaking, painting, drawing, and mixed media to create unique cookbooks and personalized aprons to take home. With healthy lunches and snacks provided, this creative culinary adventure promises that "if they cook it, they will eat it"—even picky eaters will love it! Limited to 8 students per session.
