About the activity:

Designed specifically for teens, this four-day summer camp combines art and cooking with a focus on broadening both artistic and culinary horizons. Tweens and teens ages 11 and up learn knife skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition while exploring fun menus and global recipes. They'll harvest fresh vegetables from Camp Cactus's organic garden beds and prepare nibble boards, baked goods, stir fries, and dishes from around the world. In the studio, campers illustrate their recipes using printmaking, painting, drawing, and mixed media to create personalized cookbooks and custom aprons. With healthy lunches and snacks provided, this creative experience follows the motto "if they cook it, they will eat it." Limited to 8 students per session for individualized attention.
