Engineering For Kids of Portland Metro offers hands-on STEM programs for children aged 4 to 14, including classes, camps, and workshops in robotics, coding, and engineering. Their engaging activities foster critical thinking and creativity in a fun, supportive environment. With a focus on inspiring the next generation of innovators, they make STEM learning exciting and accessible.

About the activity:

In the morning, Junior Mechanical Engineering introduces young engineers to the basics of energy, materials, and movement. Through hands-on exploration, they’ll build roller coasters, catapults, cars, and more—bringing engineering concepts to life! Then in the afternoon, this class blends fun and learning with LEGO® WeDo™ Robots! Students will build a goal keeper, goal kicker, and cheering fans using LEGO® bricks, then bring them to life through programming on a laptop. Note: Before and After care are available through Catlin Gabel.
