Engineering For Kids of Portland Metro offers hands-on STEM programs for children aged 4 to 14, including classes, camps, and workshops in robotics, coding, and engineering. Their engaging activities foster critical thinking and creativity in a fun, supportive environment. With a focus on inspiring the next generation of innovators, they make STEM learning exciting and accessible.

About the activity:

In the morning, the competition is on in the Engineering For Kids World Games! Students will take on thrilling engineering challenges inspired by top athletic events, exploring science and engineering concepts along the way. Using EFK’s Engineering Design Process, they’ll design, build, and compete for gold—celebrating the next generation of engineers!
Then in the afternoon, welcome to World Games Robotics, where engineers design epic athletic experiences and robots compete in thrilling challenges! Using LEGO® Spike Prime and block coding, students will build and program robots to take on events like breakdancing, hockey, and running. With the EFK Engineering Design Process, they’ll go for gold in this action-packed robotics competition! Note: Before and After care are available through Catlin Gabel.
