Young Musicians and Artists
Young Musicians & Artists is a music and arts camp that integrates creative instruction with leadership training for youth.
Each summer, YMA offers immersive programs in music, visual arts, and performance for students ages 8–18.
The camp serves families from the Portland area and beyond, with sessions held on a residential campus in the Willamette Valley.
About the activity:
Dive into two inspiring weeks of hands-on creativity in YMA’s Visual Arts program! You'll explore a wide range of mediums—drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and more—while developing a playful, open-minded approach to your artistic process. Create public art, collaborate across disciplines, and take a field trip to the Hallie Ford Museum of Art. You'll also publish a sketchbook zine and showcase your work in a final gallery exhibition. This camp is all about experimenting, expressing yourself, and building skills to carry into your art year-round.
