Young Musicians and Artists
Young Musicians & Artists is a music and arts camp that integrates creative instruction with leadership training for youth.
Each summer, YMA offers immersive programs in music, visual arts, and performance for students ages 8–18.
The camp serves families from the Portland area and beyond, with sessions held on a residential campus in the Willamette Valley.
About the activity:
Capture the world through your unique lens in YMA’s Digital Photography program! Campers explore composition, exposure, and storytelling through daily photo challenges, both on campus and around the Willamette University neighborhood. Using Adobe editing tools in a professional digital lab, students create personal and group projects, give and receive feedback, and build their skills behind the camera. The program wraps with a gallery show and slideshow that celebrates each artist’s creative vision.
