Young Musicians and Artists
Young Musicians & Artists is a music and arts camp that integrates creative instruction with leadership training for youth.
Each summer, YMA offers immersive programs in music, visual arts, and performance for students ages 8–18.
The camp serves families from the Portland area and beyond, with sessions held on a residential campus in the Willamette Valley.
About the activity:
Unleash your imagination in YMA’s Creative Writing program, where young writers of all levels explore the art of storytelling, poetry, and narrative craft. Led by an award-winning author, this supportive and inspiring environment helps you develop your voice, sharpen your skills, and build confidence in sharing your work. Through daily writing sessions, feedback circles, and creative challenges, you'll grow as both a writer and a communicator. The program culminates in staged readings, including a showcase during Final Performance.
