Saturday Academy is a nonprofit organization providing hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning experiences for students in grades K-12.
Each summer, Saturday Academy offers full-day, week-long camps for grades K-8, with programming focused on STEAM topics such as robotics, animation, engineering, and more.
Camps are primarily held on the University of Portland campus in North Portland, with some sessions at Portland State University and OHSU.
About the activity:
From creative writing and book binding to illustration and free reading, young bookworms build literary skills and form their own book club at Central Catholic HS. Campers meet a published author and illustrator who creates zines, inspiring the next generation of storytellers in Portland.
