Vibe of Portland is a nonprofit organization providing accessible art and music education for youth.
Each summer, Vibe offers half-day and full-day art camps for children ages 5–14, encouraging imaginative thinking and creative exploration.
Programs are held at Vibe Studios in southeast Portland and at community locations throughout the city.
About the activity:
Make wearable art in this fiber design camp where creativity meets craftsmanship. Campers learn weaving, braiding, finger knitting, macramé knotting, beading, and basic hand sewing while designing accessories like bags, belts, bracelets, hats, scarves, patches, and more. Students explore personal style, color theory, texture, and durability as they plan, prototype, test, and refine their designs. Beginner hand sewing skills are strongly preferred.
