Saturday Academy is a nonprofit organization providing hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning experiences for students in grades K-12.
Each summer, Saturday Academy offers full-day, week-long camps for grades K-8, with programming focused on STEAM topics such as robotics, animation, engineering, and more.
Camps are primarily held on the University of Portland campus in North Portland, with some sessions at Portland State University and OHSU.
About the activity:
Gamers of all kinds explore world-building, game theory, tabletop and card game design, and virtual reality in this 4-day STEAM camp. Students design original play experiences to share, then learn Scratch programming and animation basics alongside gaming industry professionals.
