Metropolitan Performing Arts is a community theatre and performing arts school offering training in acting, dance, singing, and technical theatre for children and adults.
Each summer, Metropolitan Performing Arts provides theatre camps and classes for youth, with programs available for a range of ages.
The organization is based in Vancouver, serving the greater Southwest Washington and Vancouver metro area.
About the activity:
This musical follows four bold Broadway performers in search of a way to improve their public image. Their mission leads them to a small town facing a social crossroads regarding the high school prom. While the town’s leadership insists on a restrictive dance policy, one student remains committed to bringing her girlfriend as her date. By joining forces with this student, the Broadway stars help spark a transformation within the community. The story highlights how courage and collective effort can lead to a celebration of acceptance for everyone involved.
