Vibe of Portland is a nonprofit organization providing accessible art and music education for youth.
Each summer, Vibe offers half-day and full-day art camps for children ages 5–14, encouraging imaginative thinking and creative exploration.
Programs are held at Vibe Studios in southeast Portland and at community locations throughout the city.
About the activity:
Explore weaving through hands-on projects using looms, yarn, and unexpected materials. Campers learn foundational weaving techniques and experiment with color and texture while creating tapestries and simple functional items. Studio time includes music, podcasts, audiobooks, and storytelling, encouraging patience, nervous system regulation, and playful experimentation.
