Vibe of Portland is a nonprofit organization providing accessible art and music education for youth.
Each summer, Vibe offers half-day and full-day art camps for children ages 5–14, encouraging imaginative thinking and creative exploration.
Programs are held at Vibe Studios in southeast Portland and at community locations throughout the city.
About the activity:
A dual-language creative studio that pairs Japanese conversation with visual art, photography, and drawing. Designed for students in Japanese immersion programs or with prior Japanese experience, campers practice real communication while making art, taking photos, and sharing ideas. Daily projects include drawing, photo walks, and design challenges, with a focus on confidence, listening, and expressive language—not worksheets.
