OMSI

OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is a science and technology museum offering hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and immersive experiences.

Each summer, OMSI runs day and overnight camps for children entering grades K–12, with programming that includes science, engineering, outdoor adventure, and creative exploration.

Camps are held at the OMSI museum in Portland’s Central Eastside, as well as at Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast and Camp Hancock in the high desert. Prices for Summer Camp will be released when registration opens!

About the activity:

Step into your strength and explore Central Oregon’s breathtaking alpine meadows and ancient lava flows. This journey is designed for tenacious young women, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals looking to build community and outdoor confidence. You’ll gain essential skills in low-impact camping, wilderness survival, and map-and-compass navigation. This trip is ideal for beginners in good physical condition. Please note that routes and sites are subject to change based on conditions and availability.

All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up is at 5:00pm on the end date of the program.
