PAM CUT (Center for an Untold Tomorrow) is a hub for independent filmmakers and creatives, offering artist services, screenings, and professional development opportunities.
Summer programming includes classes and camps for youth, with offerings that vary by age and focus on media arts and storytelling.
PAM CUT operates in downtown Portland and hosts events at the Tomorrow Theater in the Richmond neighborhood.
Step inside a game studio and build a world together in this immersive, hands-on camp guided by teaching artist and game designer Ian Levesque. Working in teams modeled after an indie game studio, campers will collaborate to develop an exploration-based video game from concept to playable prototype while practicing how to share ideas, give and receive feedback, and revise their work through multiple creative iterations. Youth will dive into character animation, environment and level design, concept art, and scriptwriting while learning core animation principles such as timing, staging, anticipation, and secondary action to bring their games to life. The week culminates in the creation of a playable game prototype and short game trailer, followed by a celebratory showcase where family and friends are invited to play-test the game and experience the creative process in action, empowering young game enthusiasts to turn big ideas into interactive worlds and build confidence in media arts and technology.
