NW Film Camp offers filmmaking camps for kids and teens interested in learning the art and craft of film production.
Summer programs include week-long day camps for ages 8-11 (Creator Camp) and 12-17 (Filmmaker Camp), covering scriptwriting, filming, editing, and collaborative storytelling.
Camps are held at the World Forestry Center in Washington Park, a central location in southwest Portland.
Teen filmmakers ages 12-17 learn professional-level film production at PCC Rock Creek near Beaverton in NW Portland. Week-long day camps walk students through the entire filmmaking process — from scriptwriting, directing, and acting to cinematography, lighting, sound, and editing — culminating in a collaborative short film. Students can return multiple weeks to deepen their skills and build an impressive portfolio. Scholarships available for qualifying families.
