About the activity:

In this weeklong summer workshop, young artists will explore the exciting world of modern painting through guided projects and creative experimentation. Students will learn about famous modern artists and movements—just enough to spark ideas—then use those influences to try new techniques, bold colors, and expressive brushwork.

With a special focus on expressive and abstracted figure painting, students will be encouraged to rely on their own way of seeing the world as a tool for expressing ideas, feelings, and stories through paint. The class emphasizes creative risk-taking, confidence-building, and discovering a personal artistic voice, while strengthening painting skills in a supportive, fun environment.
