Vibe of Portland is a nonprofit organization providing accessible art and music education for youth.
Each summer, Vibe offers half-day and full-day art camps for children ages 5–14, encouraging imaginative thinking and creative exploration.
Programs are held at Vibe Studios in southeast Portland and at community locations throughout the city.
About the activity:
Graphic Novel Studio helps campers create an original comic or graphic novel from first idea to finished pages. Students learn character design, story structure, panel layout, pacing, and expressive drawing, along with lettering and dialogue. The week emphasizes planning, creative ownership, and perseverance, making it ideal for kids who love drawing, writing, and world-building.
