NW Children's Theater & School

Northwest Children's Theater & School is a leading Portland arts institution dedicated to educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young audiences through live theater and performing arts education.

Each summer, NWCT offers theater camps for ages 4–14, with programs ranging from creative play for young children to full musical productions for older youth.

Camps are held at multiple locations, including downtown Portland, northeast and southeast Portland, Beaverton, and Sherwood.

About the activity:

Take off into the wonderfully chaotic world of a the world's most opinionated bird in this first-stage creative-drama camp. Little storytellers flap, squawk, bargain, and burst with imagination as they explore big emotions and even bigger antics. With silly problems to solve, bold choices to make, and plenty of chances to play pretend, campers cook up their own hilarious summer adventures alongside one unforgettable, high-energy Pigeon.

First Stage Camps include creative play, imaginative adventures, silly songs and movement, all with the purpose of creating a show together. Families and friends are invited to the final performance, held during the last 15 minutes of the final camp.
