SCRAP Creative Reuse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.
Each summer, SCRAP offers Camp SCRAP, a creative reuse camp for children, where participants use reclaimed materials for art and craft projects; ages served may vary by program.
The center is located in Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood.
About the activity:
Kids ages 7-12 transform into witches, wizards, and mythical creatures while crafting wands, potions, and magical familiars at this imaginative week-long summer camp at SCRAP PDX in Portland. Daily themed projects use upcycled and reclaimed materials, plus a week-long in-studio mystery with daily clues to solve. Scholarships available.
