Northeast Community Center
Northeast Community Center is a nonprofit fitness and community hub offering youth and family programs, fitness classes, and aquatics in a welcoming environment.
Each summer, Northeast Community Center hosts themed day camps for children ages 6–11 and specialty camps, including bike and adventure camps, for ages 8–12. Campers participate in activities such as crafts, games, swimming, and field trips, with accommodations available for neurodivergent children.
The center is located in the Hollywood neighborhood of Northeast Portland.
About the activity:
Is your child a fan of the magical world of Harry Potter? This is the perfect camp for them! Throughout the week, campers participate in activities inspired by the beloved book series, including the sorting hat ceremony on Monday. Campers watch parts of the Harry Potter movies (Rated PG) and enjoy magic lessons, spell books, and crafts such as wand-making and potion-making. In addition to these magical experiences, campers participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming in the indoor warm water pool and playing at Grant Park. Costumes encouraged!
