Vibe of Portland is a nonprofit organization providing accessible art and music education for youth.
Each summer, Vibe offers half-day and full-day art camps for children ages 5–14, encouraging imaginative thinking and creative exploration.
Programs are held at Vibe Studios in southeast Portland and at community locations throughout the city.
About the activity:
Letters, sounds, and stories come alive in this engaging literacy and art camp! Using an Orton-Gillingham inspired, multisensory approach, campers will build strong foundations in reading and writing through movement, touch, visuals, and creativity.
From sculpting letters to painting word patterns and illustrating their own stories, children will experience language in exciting and meaningful ways.
This camp supports: Phonemic awareness, Phonics and decoding, Spelling and handwriting, Vocabulary and comprehension, Story creation and expression
Perfect for children who benefit from structured, hands-on learning—whether they are just beginning to read or need extra reinforcement.
