The Architecture Foundation of Oregon connects people to the power of design and architecture through education, advocacy, and community programs.
Each summer, the Architects in Schools program offers free design education to elementary students across Oregon, engaging children in grades K-5 in creative, hands-on learning about architecture and the built environment.
Programs are offered in schools and community settings throughout Oregon, with a strong presence in the Portland metro area.
About the activity:
Young builders discover hands-on engineering and creative design through LEGO construction at this week-long summer camp in Portland's Lloyd Center. Campers build from both instructions and imagination, developing spatial reasoning and collaborative skills. Each participant takes home a LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set; sandwich lunch included daily. Tuition assistance available.
