SCRAP Creative Reuse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.
Each summer, SCRAP offers Camp SCRAP, a creative reuse camp for children, where participants use reclaimed materials for art and craft projects; ages served may vary by program.
The center is located in Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood.
About the activity:
Camp SCRAP is the ultimate art adventure for kids who love to invent, tinker, and bring wild ideas to life—using recycled and repurposed materials! Centered around the theme of creative reuse, each day blends staff-led projects with open-ended free creation time, where campers can dream up and build their own unique masterpieces using an ever-changing mix of materials. It’s all about imagination, sustainability, and hands-on fun.
