Saturday Academy is a nonprofit organization providing hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning experiences for students in grades K-12.Each summer, Saturday Academy offers full-day, week-long camps for grades K-8, with programming focused on STEAM topics such as robotics, animation, engineering, and more.Camps are primarily held on the University of Portland campus in North Portland, with some sessions at Portland State University and OHSU.

Take ownership of the world around you and explore the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)! In this hands-on camp, CREATORS will experiment with cutting-edge technology that combines data with maps to analyze, manage, and visualize information about our environment. GIS is a powerful tool for understanding how the world works, and campers will get firsthand experience using top-notch technology provided by the University of Portland, learning from experts in the field. Each week, CREATORS dive into a different industry, tackling real-world projects and meeting professionals across a diverse range of STEAM careers—from sports science to engineering, computer science to movie making.
