OMSI

OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is a science and technology museum offering hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and immersive experiences.

Each summer, OMSI runs day and overnight camps for children entering grades K–12, with programming that includes science, engineering, outdoor adventure, and creative exploration.

Camps are held at the OMSI museum in Portland’s Central Eastside, as well as at Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast and Camp Hancock in the high desert. Prices for Summer Camp will be released when registration opens!

About the activity:

Step back in time to explore one of the world’s most famous fossil sites right in our backyard. You'll work with OMSI experts to decode the ancient landscapes of the John Day Fossil Beds while enjoying all the modern perks of camp—like great meals, river days, and epic hikes. It’s the perfect blend of science and classic summer fun for newcomers and returning campers alike. Come find out why studying the past is the best way to spend your future!

All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up for OMSI Ambassadors is at 2pm.
