OMSI

OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is a science and technology museum offering hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and immersive experiences.

Each summer, OMSI runs day and overnight camps for children entering grades K–12, with programming that includes science, engineering, outdoor adventure, and creative exploration.

Camps are held at the OMSI museum in Portland’s Central Eastside, as well as at Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast and Camp Hancock in the high desert. Prices for Summer Camp will be released when registration opens!

About the activity:

Cast your lens on the wild! "Desert Doc" is your chance to produce a mini-documentary in one of Oregon’s most stunning landscapes. Working with fellow campers and pros from NW Documentary, you’ll master the latest filmmaking software and equipment. This camp perfectly balances technical skill-building with summer fun—spend your mornings editing and your afternoons splashing in the river or playing games. All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up for OMSI Ambassadors is at 2pm.
