Robotics: Intro - (July 7 - July 11)

About the activity:

Prerequisites: For in-person courses, students will receive a robot to use, with a $10 maintenance fee added to tuition. For online courses, purchasing the robot is required, and students should check delivery times before registration. If it is out of stock, alternative purchasing options are available. No prior coding experience is required.

Class Description: Get ready to bring a robot to life through coding! In this hands-on course, students will learn the fundamentals of programming a robot while exploring how its hardware components, like sensors, function. Using a block-based, visual coding platform, young coders will dive into essential programming concepts such as code structure, variables, and loops. They’ll apply these skills in exciting mission challenges, including avoiding obstacles, responding to sound, and autonomously navigating a maze.
