Cub Scout Day Camps
Cub Scout Day Camps, run by the Cascade Pacific Council of Scouting America, provide outdoor adventure and skill-building experiences for youth and their families.
Each summer, Cub Scout camps offer programs for children entering grades 1–5, with activities such as horseback riding, crafts, and nature exploration.
Camps are held at locations throughout the Portland metro area and the broader Cascade Pacific Council region, including sites like Butte Creek Scout Ranch in the Willamette Valley.
About the activity:
Young Scouts embark on a Wild West adventure at Butte Creek Scout Ranch, the only Cub Scout horse ranch on the West Coast. Tiger, Wolf, and Bear Scouts explore nature trails, try gold panning, tackle pioneering challenges, and take aim at BB and archery ranges with trained staff. Horse experiences range from meet-and-greets to trail rides. Each evening brings campfire programs packed with skits, songs, and laughs. A 3-night overnight experience for grades 1–3, run by Cascade Pacific Council, Scouting America.
