About the activity:

Ignite your passion for music in this high-energy, five-day DJ camp for ages 11–14, led by Portland-based DJ Ambush! In a supportive and collaborative environment, campers will dive into the creative and technical sides of DJing, learning everything from foundational concepts to performance-ready skills. Throughout the week, they’ll work hands-on with professional DJ equipment, discovering how mixers, controllers, and software come together while exploring music fundamentals like rhythm, tempo, and song structure. Through individual and small-group work, campers will practice beatmatching, mixing, and smooth transitions, learn how DJs shape mood and tell stories through sound, and build confidence as performers. The camp wraps up with a celebratory DJ showcase where campers share their party-ready mixes with friends and family, celebrating their creativity, teamwork, and growing DJ skills.
