SWIFTS Nature Summer Camp, run by the Bird Alliance of Oregon, offers nature-based day camps that blend science, art, and outdoor exploration for youth.
Summer programming includes week-long camps for children entering grades 1–12, with activities tailored by age group and options for both westside and eastside locations.
Camps are held at the Bird Alliance of Oregon’s 172-acre wildlife sanctuary in Northwest Portland, at Topaz Farm on Sauvie Island, and at various green spaces across the city, including eastside pick-up at Glenhaven Park.
About the activity:
Imaginative kids ages 6-8 build fairy houses and gnome homes using natural materials while exploring Bird Alliance's magical forest Sanctuary. Spark creativity through nature-inspired crafts, outdoor games, and imaginative forest play in Portland's old-growth woodland.
