Each summer, Oregon Humane Society offers humane education camps for children entering grades 2–8, focusing on animal care, compassion, and responsible pet ownership through hands-on activities and lessons.
Camps take place at the Oregon Humane Society campus in northeast Portland.
About the activity:
Oregon Humane Society’s summer camps are a paws-itively wonderful way for kids to spend the day learning, playing, and connecting with animals! Through hands-on experiences with shelter animals, engaging games, creative art projects, and special guest speakers, campers build knowledge, compassion, and confidence in a fun, age-appropriate way. This award-winning program is designed to spark a lifelong love of animals while teaching kindness and empathy—because when kids learn to care for animals, they grow into adults who help create a more humane world.
