Saturday Academy is a nonprofit organization providing hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning experiences for students in grades K-12.
Each summer, Saturday Academy offers full-day, week-long camps for grades K-8, with programming focused on STEAM topics such as robotics, animation, engineering, and more.
Camps are primarily held on the University of Portland campus in North Portland, with some sessions at Portland State University and OHSU.
About the activity:
Each day, Explorers embark on an exciting new adventure, using LEGO as their gateway to discovery! They collaborate on thrilling STEAM-fueled challenges—creating stunning art, tackling epic building projects, and even unlocking the basics of robotics. With a fresh theme guiding their journey each week, they dive into imaginative worlds while honing unique skills. Whether constructing superhero hideouts, launching into space, or bringing fantastical LEGO creations to life, our youngest campers spark curiosity, unleash creativity, and explore the endless possibilities of STEAM careers in the most fun and engaging way possible!
