Hybrid Wheel Throwing and Hand Building

Join us for a fun-filled week of creativity and hands-on learning at Radius Art Studio’s Summer Youth Clay Camp! Designed for kids ages 9-13, this camp introduces young artists to the exciting world of ceramics through both wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. Campers will learn essential pottery skills, including centering, pulling, and shaping on the wheel, as well as sculpting and slab clay construction for unique hand-built projects. They’ll also experiment with underglazes to add vibrant colors and designs to their creations. All finished pieces will be fired and glazed by our staff and available for pickup by the weekend of 9/11 during open studio hours, with an additional month to collect them. Come spark your creativity and explore the art of clay in a fun and supportive environment!
