Avid4 Adventure offers outdoor-focused camps that help kids build confidence and skills in activities like biking, climbing, hiking, and paddling.

Summer programs in Portland include day camps for children entering kindergarten through 7th grade, with options for Explorer Camp (K–1st), Adventure Camp (2nd–7th), Mountain Biking, and Stand Up Paddleboarding.

About the activity:

Our one-week Explorer Summer Camps are designed for 5- and 6-year-olds entering Kindergarten or 1st Grade and maintain a 5:1 camper-to-staff ratio for close support and supervision.

With the help of our experienced instructors, both new and returning campers tap into their natural sense of curiosity as they explore the outdoors, discover new interests, and grow in confidence through hands-on adventures.

Families check in and pick up at the same location each day, while Avid4 Adventure provides transportation to the day’s activity sites. Campers are returned to the facility each afternoon for pick-up.

Campers enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and developing strong biking skills. Each day is also balanced with creative activities like yoga, art, and music to support both active play and creative expression.
