Coding with Kids
Coding with Kids offers technology education programs that teach children and teens computer programming through hands-on projects and a progressive curriculum.
Each summer, Coding with Kids runs in-person coding camps for ages 5–18, with small group instruction and options ranging from beginner to advanced, including specialties like Minecraft Modding, Roblox, Python, and robotics.
Camps are held in various neighborhoods across major metro areas, including Portland, Seattle, Austin, Denver/Boulder, Phoenix, and more.
About the activity:
Students become game designers using Scratch, MIT's visual coding platform. This camp guides kids through building their own interactive games from scratch—learning game logic, character animation, scoring systems, and storytelling. A creative and technical camp that results in shareable, playable games.
