Vibe of Portland is a nonprofit organization providing accessible art and music education for youth.
Each summer, Vibe offers half-day and full-day art camps for children ages 5–14, encouraging imaginative thinking and creative exploration.
Programs are held at Vibe Studios in southeast Portland and at community locations throughout the city.
About the activity:
Build soft sculptures using fabric, yarn, stuffing, and a wide mix of materials. Campers create imaginative creatures, abstract forms, and tactile artworks while exploring texture, structure, and design. Students learn beginner techniques like hand sewing, embroidery, finger knitting, and weaving, with plenty of room for independent ideas and problem-solving.
