The Hangout PDX is a kids club and creative space focused on visual arts education for children.
Each summer, The Hangout PDX offers art camps for K-5 students, introducing a variety of art mediums and techniques to inspire creativity and confidence.
Located in the Belmont neighborhood of southeast Portland.
About the activity:
Welcome to STEAM Week, an exciting, hands-on adventure designed for kids entering grades K–5, where science, technology, engineering, art, and math come together through creativity and exploration! Campers will tinker, build, experiment, and invent as they design clever contraptions and bring imaginative ideas to life. This week is perfect for curious, left-brain thinkers who love to create, problem-solve, and ask “what if?” Every day is filled with interactive projects, discovery, and satisfying “aha!” moments that make learning feel like play. STEAM Week sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and celebrates creative thinking in all its forms.
