Northwest Vocal Arts is a nonprofit choral organization focused on musical excellence and youth mentorship through professional and community-based vocal ensembles.
Each summer, Northwest Vocal Arts offers a Summer Choral Academy for youth, with additional year-round programs for students in grades 8–12 and high school choral apprentices.
Programs and rehearsals are held in the Rose City Park neighborhood of northeast Portland.
About the activity:
High school singers experience fast-paced choral music making with Northwest Vocal Arts leadership in this affordable 3-day summer intensive. Afternoon sessions (1–4pm, July 30–Aug 1) include ensemble singing, masterclasses, and rehearsals of Robert Ray's Gospel Mass, culminating in a free public performance. Sheet music, snacks, and final dinner provided. No experience required.
