About the activity:

Embark on a coding adventure with the Scratch: Intro to Game Development course, geared towards 8-12 year olds! This engaging course introduces students to the world of coding through Scratch, a user-friendly drag-and-drop environment perfect for young coders. Participants will master coding fundamentals such as variables, loops, and conditionals, while channeling their creativity into designing characters, crafting scenes, and integrating sounds. Throughout the course, these skills are applied in exciting projects like Pet and Ball, Shark and Fish, and Snowman Maze. Students will not only learn to build games but also create stories and animations, discovering the joy of bringing their imaginations to life through code. Dive into the fun of coding and game development, and watch as students transform their ideas into interactive experiences!

-Combine a morning and afternoon session to create a full day camp experience at a 15% discount!
-Personal computer not required! If your camper has a computer they are familiar with they are encouraged to bring it. Software installation notes will be sent out in advance of the camp session.
