Engineering for Kids offers hands-on STEM programs that introduce children to engineering concepts through engaging activities and projects.
Summer camps are available for children in preschool through middle school, with sessions covering topics like robotics, coding, and interactive engineering.
Camps are held at multiple partner locations throughout the Portland metro area, including schools and community centers in neighborhoods such as Beaverton, West Linn, and Happy Valley.
About the activity:
Junior Engineers will blast off into Mars-themed stories that inspire and spark their imaginations! Through hands-on challenges using EFK’s Engineering Design Process, they’ll explore science and concepts in mechanical, aerospace, geologic, and environmental engineering. This camp is sure to ignite curiosity about the future of Mars exploration! While in the afternoon, junior Aerospace Engineering classes introduce young engineers to the basics of aircraft and spacecraft design. Through hands-on exploration, they’ll build airplanes, rockets, helicopters, and more—launching creativity to new heights!
