KR Clay Art offers pottery camps, workshops, and ceramics sales led by an experienced local educator.
Each summer, KR Clay Art hosts pottery camps for kids entering 1st–9th grades, featuring hand-building, wheel throwing, and mixed media art in small groups.
The studio is located in Portland’s Arnold Creek neighborhood, with activities often taking place in nearby forests and fields.
About the activity:
Explore hand-building and wheel throwing in this intimate ceramics camp at KR Clay Art's forest studio in Portland's Arnold Creek neighborhood. Kids in grades 1–9 spend the week crafting bowls, sculptures, and functional pieces with food-safe glazes, then enjoy outdoor adventures along Arnold Creek and woodland hikes in Maricara Natural Area. Maximum 8 campers; all materials, bisque and glaze firings, and an end-of-week pizza party are included.
