PAM CUT (Center for an Untold Tomorrow) is a hub for independent filmmakers and creatives, offering artist services, screenings, and professional development opportunities.
Summer programming includes classes and camps for youth, with offerings that vary by age and focus on media arts and storytelling.
PAM CUT operates in downtown Portland and hosts events at the Tomorrow Theater in the Richmond neighborhood.
IIn this four-day stop motion animation camp for kids ages 8–10, young creators will discover how stories come alive through movement, materials, and imagination with guidance from teaching artist and animator Emma Prochaska. Campers will dream up stories, sketch simple storyboards, and transform everyday materials like clay, felt, cut paper, found objects, and armatures into characters, props, and miniature worlds. Using iPads, they’ll animate their creations frame by frame, exploring techniques such as motion studies, flip books, found object animation, and pixilation while building creativity, problem-solving skills, and friendships through collaboration and play. The week concludes with a lively showcase where campers proudly share their animated stories with family and friends, celebrating curiosity, creativity, and the magic of making things move.
