My Voice Music
My Voice Music is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth through songwriting, recording, and live performance in a supportive music community.
Each summer, My Voice Music offers week-long Rock Camps for ages 9–13, where campers form bands, write and record original songs, and perform on stage, with no prior experience required.
Camps are held at My Voice Music Studios in the Montavilla neighborhood of southeast Portland.
About the activity:
Young musicians at MVM Studios don't just learn to play—they create. From forming their own bands to writing original songs, our students experience every part of the music-making journey. They'll hit the recording studio, cut tracks, and walk away with a CD of their own work. Through our classes, workshops, and ongoing mentorship programs, we help aspiring artists discover their unique sound and share it with the world.
