Coding with Kids
Coding with Kids offers technology education programs that teach children and teens computer programming through hands-on projects and a progressive curriculum.
Each summer, Coding with Kids runs in-person coding camps for ages 5–18, with small group instruction and options ranging from beginner to advanced, including specialties like Minecraft Modding, Roblox, Python, and robotics.
Camps are held in various neighborhoods across major metro areas, including Portland, Seattle, Austin, Denver/Boulder, Phoenix, and more.
About the activity:
Students learn real Java programming by creating their own Minecraft mods—adding custom items, biomes, and game mechanics to their favorite game. This project-based camp makes coding tangible and exciting as kids see their code come to life in-game. Perfect for Minecraft fans ready to go from player to creator.
