The Bird Alliance of Oregon, formerly the Audubon Society of Portland, is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting birds, wildlife, and their habitats through conservation, education, and advocacy. Founded in 1902, they operate a 172-acre wildlife sanctuary and the state's oldest wildlife rehabilitation center. Committed to equity and environmental stewardship, they recently acquired land for a new Wildlife Care Center and nature sanctuary, further advancing their mission to inspire people to love and protect nature.

About the activity:

Get ready for an extraordinary adventure! Spend the week exploring the textures and colors of the forest as we explore the forest park trails accessible from our Sanctuary. Gather sticks, leaves and other natural items and play with color and texture to create beautiful collages and mosaics. Listen to the sounds of the forests and learn how sound can be its own nature mosaic. We will play with layering, colors, texture and different mediums as we gather materials and inspiration from the forest and let our creativity fly Explore new horizons, uncover hidden wonders, and immerse yourself in a week filled with excitement, curiosity, and fun.
