About the activity:

Campers jump into the excitement of mountain biking as they take to the trails in our Mountain Biking Summer Camp. Led by experienced instructors, the week is spent building riding skills, learning the basics of bike care, and exploring some of the region’s best parks and trail systems.

Each camper’s experience is thoughtfully designed to match their growing confidence and ability. Campers are grouped by grade level—2nd–4th graders or 5th–7th graders—so they can learn and progress alongside peers while continuing to strengthen their mountain biking skills.

Please note: Campers are strongly encouraged to bring their own bikes. Bikes should be properly tuned, fit the rider well, and be suitable for dirt trail riding, including hand brakes and wider tires. Bike rentals are available if needed and can be selected during registration.

To enroll in this program, campers must be able to ride confidently on dirt surfaces without training wheels. If a camper does not meet this requirement, we reserve the right to transfer them to another program (if space allows) or remove them from the camp and provide a credit.

Our Extended Day Mountain Biking Camp starts one hour earlier than our other Portland camps. This additional hour allows riders to reach trail areas that are normally unavailable to other camp groups.

Camp begins promptly at 8:00 AM.
