Willamette Sailing Club is dedicated to teaching small boat sailing and water safety to youth and adults, with a focus on hands-on learning and skill development.
Each summer, the club offers week-long sailing camps for ages 5-18, including beginner and intermediate classes for ages 8-11, with sessions led by US Sailing certified instructors.
Located on the Willamette River in the South Waterfront neighborhood of Portland.
About the activity:
Get ready to set sail on an unforgettable adventure! Each morning, our young sailors dive into hands-on fun—learning the basics of sailing, splashing around, and exploring the wonders of the river in our safe, protected harbor. Designed to build confidence and comfort around the water, this program is perfect for beginners—no swim check needed! With expert guidance from our US Sailing certified instructors, kids are empowered to learn, play, and fall in love with life on the water in the most exciting (and totally safe) way possible.
